[ Well then. He tilts his head to press a kiss to the side of Intensity's throat, then slowly urges him up so that he can give Blue Eyes directions. ]

[Some of the tension finally starts bleeding out at the kiss to his throat.

And when King does sit the both of them up, he wraps one arm around King's waist and presses his forehead up against his shoulder.

Very much dead weight.]

[ That's fine. He's easier to deal with this way.

It's not too long before the hotel comes back into view, but instead of approaching fin's balcony or the front entrance, he has Blue Eyes loop around a few times until he finds just the right window -- slightly ajar, enough for him to pull open when he has Blue Eyes swoop in close. ]

[He slides off of Blue Eyes and into his room, gripping King's wrist and pulling him inside after him]

[ King follows him easily, giving Blue Eyes a grateful parting pat as he hops off.

The room is the same as the last time Intensity saw it, except the windows no longer display anything but a view of the city outside, and the skylight brings in enough beams of moonlight to see by, reflecting gently off the lotus pond.

King bypasses all of it in favor of dragging Intensity over to the enormous bed and pulling him down onto it. ]

[He looks up at the skylight, briefly wondering how you can get moonlight coming in when this isn't the top floor---

But oh right. Yes. Getting tugged onto the bed now.

Now that King has cleared multiple murder attempt hurdles, it appears he is quite docile.]

[ If only he'd known multiple murder attempts is all it takes!

Whatever.

More importantly, he's resuming the position they found themselves in on Blue Eyes, except how he whips off the cape (in an unnecessarily dramatic fashion. Habits.) so that he can drape it over both of them at once. Fingers tracing lightly down Intensity's spine once that's done, breath steady and even against his neck. ]

[What would King be without his dramatics?

And once both of them are settled, Intensity's own fingers drift to King's neck to lightly stroke the skin there. Gentle explorations with just his fingertips]

[ Dead inside, probably. Watch for that.

His neck is sporting some very ugly bruises at the moment, surprise surprise. Not quite the usual post-festivities marks.

He tenses just slightly at the touch, but not enough that he stops the slide of his own fingers, or the careful rhythm of his breaths. ]

[He lets this continue for a long few moments before pushing himself up on his elbows and attempts to get a good look at King's expression]

[ Perfectly neutral.

Though perhaps that doesn't help him with whatever answer he's looking for. ]

What is it?

[It does not, but perhaps he doesn't need it after all. Fuck knows he was usually bad at reading the room anyway.

So instead of answering King's question, he ducks his head low - kissing juncture of King's jaw and neck. And then lower still, past the purpling marks left by his own hands to place a series of chaste kisses below them. A strip at the very base of King's neck]

[ He exhales slightly when Intensity avoids the painful skin, some of the tension seeping out again.

And after a moment, he tips his head back to give Intensity better access to the rest of it, fingers pressing just a bit harder into his back. ]

[When he's done at the base of the neck, he'll kiss a similar ring right under King's jaw. Not hard enough to leave a mark. And purposefully avoiding the dark ring of skin.

And one final brush of lips against King's forehead before he settles down against him once more, arms wrapping around him tightly]

[ Is this like an apology?

Well, either way - he rumbles his approval low in his throat, eyes falling closed at the kiss to his forehead, and pulls him in close when he finally settles.

Surely if he just holds onto him tight enough, rest will happen. ]

[(Shush, you. We don’t use the a-word in this house. ~~He’s never had a need for it before.~~)

But it appears that King’s tireless patience and exhausting of every other alternative has finally paid off.

Because gradually Intensity’s grip loosens and his breathing evens out. And he finally goes the fuck to sleep.

Perhaps the first proper sleep in over a week.]

[ Hallelujah!

He smiles a little to himself when he feels Intensity go slack, but his own grip doesn't loosen at all. Keeping him close and secure as he sleeps.

He said he'd keep watch this time after all, so that's what he intends to do. ]

[Hope King is prepared for a lot of dead noodle weight then.

Intensity barely moves save for when he jerks himself half awake, staring at King through unfocused eyes (or eye since it's remarkable clear when one eye is turned off which one is fake), pulls King close to him, and then proceeds to pass out again.]

[ ... Cute...

King doesn't release his grip the entire time Intensity sleeps - just holds on while getting lost in his own thoughts, Intensity's rhythmic breathing and steady heartbeat in the otherwise quiet room going a long way toward easing some of the ever-present tension.

Whenever Intensity next comes to - however long that may be - he'll feel fingers threading in and out of his hair, absently. ]

[When he jerks awake next, he blinks in confusion at the sensation. Then at King. And then at the room because this is most definitely not his room.

Where the...? When the...?

But you know what, fuck it.

Just settles back down against King's chest and enjoys the quiet for a few moments]

[ That's fine. He doesn't say anything, either.

But his hands do still for a moment, before one wanders to brush the back of his fingertips along Intensity's cheek. ]

[Huffs]

Yes. Yes. I feel marginally less shitty than before. Low bar.

[You got your apology.

And now your thanks.

He is just full of the charisma and gratitude today]

[ Yes, isn't King so very lucky?

King with his low low standards.

He just smiles a little to himself before shifting to press a kiss to Intensity's forehead, a mirror of what Intensity had done earlier. ]

[Tilts his head to look up at King with his brow furrowed]

What?

[ Perplexingly(?), he just looks serene. ]
