But oh.
He's cheerleading for King. "Cheerleading." To beat god. So they can fight against each other in the tournament.
If that isn't peak romance, then I dunno what----?
Hey!
Did that memory really leave off on a cliffhanger?
...
Also, if this was supposed to stop him from wanting to throw down his rival and take him on the altar again, this hilariously is not the way to do it. Huffing, Intensity shifts uncomfortably underneath King.
Maybe he could just---]
no subject
Listen.
He just relived the whole thing, emotions and all.
So nobody can blame him for twisting in Intensity's lap so he can shove him back against the pew and furiously kiss him.
No one expects a suckerpunch of past life rival feelings in the middle of present rival feelings!! ]
no subject
This is probably not how the duel ended -- is the last coherent thought Intensity has before he is thoroughly kissed. Fine by him, the past is stupid a n y w a y!
He threads his fingers through King's hair, gripping tight and ankle catching King's to reel him in closer---
Yes. Yes!
This is what he was after. His fucking hot unbeatable, untameable rival.]
no subject
Priorities!
Remembering such a low point, and then being forcibly hauled up by Intensity whether he lieks it or not -- that's fitting, isn't it? They really have done this dance across multiple universes and time periods.
And they've always been rivals, waiting for no one but each other.
Yes -- what a rare, nice, affirming memory that is.
Intensity's reward is King attempting to steal the very air from his lungs. ]
no subject
Intensity doesn't quite understand the source of the enthusiasm, but he'll take it. Greedily even.
He nips on King's lower lip and grips at any expanse of clothing he can reach, pulling him flush against again him.
Multiple universes, indeed.]
no subject
King chuckles low under his breath as Intensity pulls him closer, speaking the next words without bothering to pull away. ]
So you were saving yourself for me even in a past life.
no subject
I only have one worthy rival. Only one person ignite a fire that hot inside me.
[Fingers curl against his shoulderblades, stroking the juncture between wings and flesh.]
Saving myself? Ha!
That makes it sound so passive.
I've chased you the moment I saw you for two lifetimes now.
no subject
Yes.
And it seems in doing so you've allowed me to capture the power of gods and rise from the dead.
[ And that's just what they know of so far ]
no subject
It's almost like you don't believe in your own divinity.
Your Excellency~
no subject
[ His fingers shift, nails this time. ]
Does that make it your job to convince me?
no subject
Then. I. will.
Even if it takes an eternity.
[A light, not-sane-at-all chuckle]
And I hope it does.
[And before King can counter, he leans down the rest of the way to capture King's lips again in a breathless kiss]
no subject
I'll be sure to stubbornly refuse persuasion. For your pleasure, of course.
no subject
[And it's Intensity's turn to use his nails. This time across the webbing of King's wings. Briefly looking over his shoulder to enjoy the reaction before settling back to look at King himself]
If ultimately futile.
Heh. There's no victory if you don't struggle. If I don't earn it.
no subject
[ Sudden nails on uniquely delicate skin is sufficient enough distraction that he forgets any quip he might have been preparing. ]
no subject
Cute.
(Dare he think adorable.)]
That's a good look on you.
no subject
I see I let you get too far in distracting me.
no subject
And in a parody of an early argument:]
Oh? You let me?
[And his hands still, arms crossed at the small of King's back. He's at least behaving (somewhat) for now.]
How very generous of you.
no subject
[ He shifts in Intensity's lap, so he's more sideways than outright straddling him. Because that's... distracting.
He lifts his phone again. ]
Now keep your hands to yourself for a few minutes.
[ He says, like he isn't the one who jumped Intensity that time. ]
no subject
Only if you can do the same.
1/2
My self-control is impeccable.
[ Hitting the "buy memory" button now that Intensity is playing along. ]
no subject
In the past and present.
He doesn't quite look smug anymore, though. ]
Ah . . .
no subject
Losing and being given a friendship speech: A huge turn off.
Maybe they should have taken care of that beforehand.
Huffs. Irritably. He can only guess his own internal reaction to that since he didn't actually relive the memory]
...
You talk a lot.
no subject
. . .
Only when I think it's important.
