[He's actually not going to believe jack shit about Heaven until he talks to Man Eater even later in the night]
People lie. Technology doesn't.
The tech in Liar jail was the same as in the Rift. And we haven't seen that tech anywhere else in the production. A little too convenient. So Hell either stole it or they're sharing notes.
One possible theory is that this angel is real and is heroically trying to be a force of "good". And that the tech was stolen from the dead or defected angels. This theory gives us "hope".
Another theory is he's just another pawn in the production. An actor cast to play a part once we stopped believing in the first fake Heaven. Strange we haven't seen much of Mukuro since he let that slip. Was he punished for it?
And how embarrassing would it be if we fall for the exact same ploy twice.
I suggested the angel was as an actor before... I still think it's weird to think anyone could just wander into "Heaven." And I think it's weird we made it there via a demon ritual, too. But everyone says the angel doesn't act like they'd expect if it was just a ruse... and Exael definitely seemed like she didn't expect what happened. And it seems really roundabout for us to have been sent on the mission if Asshole was behind it all... I don't know what the point would be there.
There's a third theory that I suggested to Man Eater earlier, though. It could be a ruse, but not for us. The angel supposedly slept through the war, right...? And they're just refusing to believe that everyone else is actually gone. What if the liar side managed to abduct a sleeping angel and put them in some kind of fake Heaven? What if this isn't the first time they've done it, and this is just the first angel who's too stupid and stubborn to accept the loss and give up?
[He thinks over that for a long time and then says]
Think speaking someone's name is a Prince thing? Or also a minion thing?
Liar-hater might not be tuned in because he doesn't care about-- well. Anything. But if it extends to all demons, Our Fair Lady of the Circus is definitely listening in.
...The way she put it, it was a demon thing. I'm not sure if that applies to her... She was an idol originally, wasn't she? Not that we can trust her word on it, in that case. I guess we could ask Yasuragi or Red or something.
But I feel like if it worked for her, she'd be a lot more informed, given how much people talk about her.
I didn't say she didn't know they existed. The only thing I'm reasonably sure she was surprised about is that Tokyo-F got destroyed. And I don't think she was expecting us in prison, either. But that doesn't mean she didn't know there was an angel in a box somewhere.
And, of course, she's a liar, so I could just be totally wrong.
Either way, it's best that we try to assist the angel in not getting caught.
At best, even if 10% of this bullshit is real, then we're on a path to have a potential third-party ally. At worst, we just play right into the producers' hands and fuck - we were already doing that anyway.
Yeah. If nothing else, I feel at least a little more confident the angel is a real third party. Which is something.
...I don't at all believe that they're going to magically get us all out of here, though. And I'm a little worried Hurricane is going to toss us all out of the frying pan and into the fire with blind faith in that.

So we have to work with what we have.

...How much of the Heaven stuff do you believe, now?

So no harm in giving her a nickname, too.

Don't try to hide your bitterness or anything.

Or at nicknames.

It's appropriate - in many ways.

And Azzy seems more in the loop about it than Py.
Or at least that's the yarn they're spinning.

That's probably reaching, though... What did you hear about this "alternative value," exactly?

But from what you said, Ringmaster was in the dark about even the angel's existence.
So there is some fucked up power play and politics involved here that we don't understand.

Just with different presentations to make us feel worse or better about it.
