"Warn me first," she pouts as she regains her composure.
You grin to yourself as you pass a slow motorist on the right.
"Sure thing. Did you take care of Zapp?" you ask, already knowing the answer.
You know she's smiling even if you can't see it.
"Naturally."
The rest of the ride continues in companionable silence as you pull up to the delivery address. Silence hands you the two (slightly crumpled) pizza boxes and gives you a pat on the head.
Checking once, twice more for Zapp, you head for the front door to the surprisingly opulent mansion. Why are they ordering take-out pizza anyway?
The plaque on the gate gives you pause.
