A lot of things. Starting with C's recent announcement. What's your take?

If they want to lay back, Intensity will push off all the papers out of the way. Most things are stacked in manila envelopes anyway. And he's not partial to any of his current projects.]

Asmodeus says god is dead. So if that's true and the position is vacant, it's not a bad move to make if C is serious about it. And he's just the kind of person who'd take something like that seriously. Also - as you saw - he has the charisma to attract a following. And he doesn't give enough fucks about people's opinions of him to be weighed down by it.

There's probably something to be said about having people feel like they're a part of something. And some hope nonsense in as well. Even more reason for him to take the god route.

Did many people take him up on it? I declined.

He has enough of a following. Already had enough of one, more accurately. This was just the first public recruitment phase.

Two members of my unit have already signed on anyway.

But you seem less than enthusiastic about the idea?

It's not that. I don't think C's the boss for me, but I respect him.

You're not throwing in with him?

Yes and no. Our goals run in parallel. If there does need to be a Heaven and Hell faction - then C is much more suited to being a god and I'm much more suited to ruling Hell.

This doesn't change our working relationship - I still pass information on to him, and I see no reason for him not to reciprocate the favor.

Nope. Even if I did have an issue, the candidate pool isn't that deep.

No. Though one of my newbies has some ambition. He wants to ally with Baritones.

They're a powerful team. I'm inviting them over for dinner to see what they have to say about themselves. I can't tell if they're stupid for pulling that stunt in the game, or smart enough to know it won't matter much. They covered for avante in the protection game and they clearly have initiative, so we'll see.

I'm quite fond of Yvette and Manhattan personally. And their cat girl doesn't seem the malicious type. Just paranoid.

As for the one who decided to call a Live for a murder, considering her previous demeanor - her actions are unfortunately not too surprising. I'd be more interested if she acted alone or not.

She came after me in the arena game and almost killed me, but she didn't seem to have an agenda. If she did, she's a convincing actor.

Less concerned about her having an agenda and more about there being someone pulling her strings.

It's only dubious if Doll can't be trusted to adhere to it. If Doll sees herself as playing the game, she might. A few points are worth a chance.
