[ she is in the workshop and so finding the ONLY door to get the fuck out of it is taking a lot longer than she thought it might. just give her a couple of minutes. she'll get there... ]

[ seven minutes later she manages to get to the door, open it, and presumably walk right into him, because unless he was still knocking she has no idea that he's there yet... though she should probably have assumed. ]

[Two hands land on her shoulders and spin her back in the direction of the dorm as he mutters under his breath:]

I’m blind, not deaf, I heard that. And I never said I’d make it to FiN in a timely manner.

[ grabs one of his hands and leads him to her room. ]

I had trouble getting out of the workshop, is all.

[He lets her lead him to the workshop (though if she looks like she's going to walk into a wall or something he will not-so-subtlety tug her in the right direction).]

If this is going to be a regular occurrence, that is also something we can work on.

[ she actually does a pretty good job of not walking into things, though he may have to help her when they’re going into the workshop. ]

Okay.

He is pulled down (perhaps showing a little bit of mercy for her blindness and not fighting her anyway). When she is settled, he'll reach up to press a hand against her cheek and lean in -- trying to see what exactly she did it to her eyes.

(Was it a screwdriver? It probably was, wasn't it? Fuck. He's never going to live that down)]

Some sort of texture on the floor to guide you toward the exit for starters.

[ as soon as she feels the couch sink in under his weight she smiles and leans back, about to tilt her head back, so she can stare blankly at the ceiling. the hand to her cheek has her immediately pressing further into the couch, face coloring as she tries to place how close he is. ]

[ all she did was deactivate them and she didn't mangle anything this time, so the damage is very minimal... but, yes, she used a screwdriver. ]

Good idea. [ ... ] Are you worried about what people will do to your eye and your arm?

[Hmmmm. Well. At least the impact was clean. Not hitting any of the surrounding tissue either. So --- thankful for those small things.

The areas around her eyes will start to tingle in a familiar way as he starts repairing them]

[ relief sweeps over her when he starts to repair them, so she starts to relax, not even having realized just how tense she'd become over the past few minutes. ]

No, I guess not. At least you won't feel it.

I need to work on the execution, so I don't have to keep bothering you, but do you think this is worth it? trying to cover my bases?

An honest question. If it's going to bother you that much, was the modifications you made to them worth the paranoia?

I’m not paranoid. I just want to be prepared for the absolute worst of it.

But that aside they were absolutely worth it.
