She's my ex- who hates me? It's a thorny situation. But I care enough about her still that I'm interested in knowing if she's at least doing well. Um, since it seems like you went through quite a bit together.
Obviously, you don't have to tell me. I'm not offering much incentive for doing so, I know.
Day 49. One of Exael's game. It ran over the course multiple days.
It started in the Game Tower. The units were separated. As usual. In this game, one person on your unit was chosen to be the heart - the core of the unit. If they died, the rest of the unit would go crazy. Everyone else not the heart could turn into a monster. That's what made me think of it. Cobalt was a weird leopard looking thing with a tail coming out of the back of his head. Probably similar to what you just described.
Each round, you picked a specific person on another unit to attack. Monster versus monster. Or in some cases, if you picked their heart, that unit was eliminated from winning, but the remaining beserked monsters on the unit were left alive. In between rounds, they let everyone out of the Game Tower.
[ once in the lab there's a sheet covering something at the center of the shop. ] No peeking. I'll let'cha in on it soon, but first things first.
[ she grabs a guitar and a sword and hands them off to intensity. ] Can you combine these things for me and then can we talk about making it shoot fire or something. Not sure how to do that short of adding a flamethrower to it, but I'm not sure that's a purchasable item from the shop. Fireworks? Blowtorch?
[Still carrying both cups, he leads Intensity down the hallway. The door to his room is ajar enough that he can push it open the rest of the way with his foot and head inside.
It's been a long time since Intensity was last here, so it may look different. The far end of the room is floor to ceiling windows, and beyond that a balcony that looks like a school rooftop. Beyond that, instead of the city skyline, there are mountains.]
I am not sure. Leviathan said that...this one...had been briefly heartened by hearing that it was still there, that maybe they could do something, but fell back into despair.
[He plunks himself down cross-legged on the floor - digs his screwdriver out to take the old leg off.]
[He sets the screw to the side and works the leg out of the port, then sets it to the side. When he's done, he lines the new one up with the port and slides it in - wiggles the foot a little, testing.]
[Guess you won't see the double pools then. Pushing on Intensity's chest so he falls back onto the bed once they reach Silver's room. His bed is indeed basically an oversized pet bed]
Oh, I'm not denying it~ You're a very giving soul, which is why tonight? It's your turn to receive.
Mm, well—specifically, Cobalt's was the first outside of a game that seems to have happened, and, well.
[ she purses her lips. ]
All of these seem to have started since our trip outside, or afterward. They don't seem to be triggered the same way, but they seem to be resolved by adequate rest and calm?
So I don't know if maybe there are more waiting to happen.
